Channeling my hobby (and my higher education) into something mildly useful ...

The other day while I was walking along the street not really paying attention to where I was (or, more importantly, where I was going) I stumbled upon the idea that a blog about the books I read and what I think about them might be a good outlet for all those detached ideas that float around in my head from day to day.
Not only would it be a place where I could do what I do most often - talk about books and what they make me think about - but also a place where those that care enough (or are as equally obsessed as me) could share their own random considerations.
So here it begins: a haphazard collection of thoughts that books have sparked, passages that have tickled me, and other scraps of wisdom I find in the everyday. I warn you now that my choice of books is not based upon which author is "now", what topic is most pertinant, or what one "should" read. I merely read the books I find (or that, to be more exact, find me).
Please feel free to join me!
